Metal Additive Manufacturing
3D Metal Printing or additive manufacturing is a process that joins metal, layer-upon-layer, to make objects from 3D digital models as opposed to removing material from a solid block (traditional subtractive manufacturing).
Formetrix predominantly produces alloys for the laser powder bed fusion (L-PBF or DMLS) printers which are by far the most widely deployed metal additive manufacturing technology. L-PBF also features density levels of over 99% and delivers the highest level of dimensional resolution for 3D printed metals.
